I think our whole generation has been severely misinformed and confused by the things we believe to be truth and correct in our society. There’s a serious decline in intelligence due to laziness and lack of ambition. What happened to admiring doctors and lawyers and teachers? Everyone wants to be a rapper or model. The world has become smaller due to technology but yet most never travel outside their comfort zones. Lil Wayne has replaced Bob Marley and Beyonce is more known than Nefertiti… beauty is made up. Loyalty is as scarce as chivalry and honesty. Everything’s ass backwards.

In response to the recent #TroyDavis moment in history I decided to make a short to invoke feelings and thought provoking symbolism. I believe in order to change anything you must first recognize the problem in which things need change, destroying what you know and have come accustom to, and begin to think for oneself in order to rebuild a better knowledge. In the short I blow my brains out, symbolizing me destroying what I know and beginning my journey in re-learning. I named this project Culture Destruction because destruction is a form of creation, a way of changing things, I want to change things in black culture and destroying the culture we are in is the only way to resurrect a better black culture, a better world period. In the short the words are an excerpt from the song "Twinkle" by Erykah Badu translated from the ancient kemetic language. The rant is also from the song "Twinkle" but originally from the movie "Network", which speaks to the movement i believe is best for changing this culture we are in. Get Mad! Get Angry! Scream Im a Human Being Damnit! My life has meaning! and so does yours... and so did Troy Davis's.

I've been wanting a Black leather biker jacket for some time now but could never really find a quality one i can customize and make my own, but the other day i got an email from my good friends at Burberry showcasing their S/S 11 Prorsum line which is their exclusive, extremely expensive, straight off the runway ready to wear line. In the email I found this Biker that i have come to terms with having even if i have to recreate it on my own. The actual Burberry Biker Jacket is $5,495.00 american. A pretty penny, and well out of my moral compass for spending on garments that I guarantee i'll only wear about a year before i find something new to try out.

Last year it was varsity Jackets, as I coveted Lady Gaga's Alexander McQueen tribute Varsity,

this year I'm wanting a Biker, even though its Not only too little too late to be trying to wear a jacket with spring steadily approaching, but I also feel I haven't been giving my habitual clothing splurges just due in the past couple months with working and school and buying a car and everything else I have going on in life. Therefore I doubt I even search for a decent Biker unless one falls in my lap somehow. Anyway, enough with my rambling and talking in circles. I originally wasn't going to buy the album because i was hearing such bad reviews but after watching this interview I have been re-assured that the album is well worth the 10 bucks because I believe Lupe went through to much for me not to as a fan.

I can agree with Chris Brown when he says entertainers are inspiration to the masses on what styles they pick up and emulate in their own daily lives. I can testify to this by trying out the pocket square in a T-shirt look Big Sean spoke on. I believe your style is an interpretation of what you like and what you take from people you see and admire, whether it be a celebrity or a everyday person. Like Chris Brown said he admires Pharrell's style and you can see glimpses of Pharrell's style in Chris Brown. My personally style is a bunch of different things more like Big Sean and what he described as his own style. I can throw on high end labels but still wear a white tee the next day and still make it my own personal style.

I was given JayZ's Book "Decoded" for christmas, it gives you a better in depth view of Sean Carter and not just the JayZ you see on TV and hear thru your headphones. This clip of him on Oprah's show "Master Class" gives the same in depth look at Sean Carter as the book but in a nutshell. Im only 4 chapters into the book so i need to really crack it open a little more than i have. the break down of his rhymes and inner thoughts are my favorite part of the book but learning about his life is inspirational as well. Not inspirational in the sense that it makes me want to rap either, inspiration to be a better me. I suggest you all pick it up.

Sugar Bear, Lead Mic of one of the original Gogo Bands, EU out of Washington DC, plays the Guitar at my old church, Greater Morning Star Pentecostal Church in NE DC. As well as being the voice of this classic Gogo song "Da Butt" he is also the father of one of my friends in high school, Tameka Elliot. This is crazy to me because EU's video for "Da Butt" was shot for the Soundtrack of one of my favorite Spike Lee Joints "School Daze" and was directed by Spike Lee himself.

I personally love Gogo and was raised on the sound of the heavy percussion sound behind Gogo music. This video is legendary to me and it makes me proud to be from DC/MD area to know first hand where this sound began.

Soooo yesterday I came up with the great idea to hit up the Baltimore National Aquarium. Luckily this week was dollar week and we (as in MURDA and me) got in for four quarters lol. Had an hour to spare before we could go in so we walked the harbor and hit up Urban Outfitters. I bought a new belt, if anyone knows me well they know this is big news lls. Anyway as we walked around the harbor wasting time I played around with our new camera. A Nikon D3000 we got for the low on Black Friday. I've been #winning lately in life. and every monday they have a segment called "Young Black and Pissed Off" in which i spoke on the topics of former President Bush and his book "Decision Points", Kanye's Album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy", and other topics along those lines in entertainment media.

To say the least i think the show was very constructive toward my own critical thinking and expanding my own interest on matters of young black people and what pisses us off.

My store has this jacket in stock and i wasn't really impressed... the vest is detachable but doesn't have buttons to wear it closed. The vest is also very short and when i tried it on it looked like i was the real live version of Aladdin. As well as the actual jacket being very stiff and rigid in comparison to the other jackets we sell. Seeing the jacket on Hypebeast.com wasn't really a surprise being that i saw the colab preview not to long ago on the site.

The time has come, minutes ago first images of the Lanvin for H&M Men’s Collection have been revealed and things are looking good. The collection sports some beautiful suits, overcoats, shirts, and the accessories (especially the hats and bow ties) are also looking very nice. In the lookbook images of the collection looks to be a perfect translation of the Lanvin collection, but now we have to wait and see it in real life and hopefully the quality is also up there. First impression is great and with 40 pieces in the collection, you will also have some choice.

The music, the artistic integrity displayed, the thought provoking beauty of it all whether you understand it or not makes it one of the most magnificent masterpieces of audio and visual art I've ever encountered.

The metaphors and the underlying symbolism of the phoenix as kanye's Amber Rose as well as his career is genius. The finding of a phoenix symbolizing his career as well as finding a phoenix in his recent relationship with Amber Rose, a Stripper from Philly, and bringing her into Kanye's world of stardom and wealth and a world she knew nothing of, that we as the masses know nothing of, as did he know nothing of his new career in music. Showing her off in a new world teaching her how to conduct herself in his world with the whole tea cup sipping scene, as well as his career being brand new to him he found new taste and learned how to conduct his self in the music industry and the limelight. Showing her off to his friends while playing "Devil in a New Dress" This part refers to Kanye taking on Stardom and acting brand new and "acting out" so to speak as if he were always this way yet the Phoenix was still not good enough because she was not from their world, A bird. Not even a phoenix but he called her a bird. And Kanye quickly learned with the Taylor Swift incident that he was not truly acting his self but "acting out" and needed to reevaluate his career. Just a stripper from philly in their eyes No matter what new dress she wore and Kanye still just a Nigger in the eyes of the world no matter how great his music was before he embarrassed the innocent little white girl in taylor swift. Not seeing her beauty, and Not looking beyond the color of Kanye's skin. And once Kanye realized this he began to play Runaway, and the downfall begins. Kanye Runs away to Europe and Japan for a year, Amber Rose transforms into this Icon in the media that she never was in the first place. The maid brings out a dead turkey which the whole dinner party has been eating all along, the phoenix cries out in pain seeing that the dinner party eats birds, I take this scene as Kanye telling Amber that she is nothing but eye candy that the world has been eating up... and she has realized this as well.

I probably just pulled all this out of nowhere but it very well made sense to me.

"you rip the wings off a phoenix they turn to stone" meaning to me... once a good girls gone bad she's gone forever. Phoenix turn to stone because they're forever burned in your memory as statues. The phoenix taking off is Kanye and Amber's Breakup as well as his career taking back off into something greater to be seen in our near future.

As well as this masterpiece Kanye has given us a number of GOOD music friday drops that have been explaining this story all along and i think this past friday's song sums the ending of the phoenix taking off into a helluva summary of him and Amber's break up.
